In our first SWAGS Feature we talk to the World Champions wife, and the mother of a superstox racer, a soon to be Ministox racer, and a soon to be Ninja Kart racer!
HCD is one of the most prestigous names in stockcar fabrication, it was started by the
late Howard Cole who Trudy felt of as a father figure.
So far pretty normal then? well thats where it stops. Trudys husband is of course the current world champion in superstox, her son Jordan races them too, other son Tommy has just finished Ninja Karts and is getting ready for ministox and daughter Syd is getting ready for the Ninjas!
SS: So Trudy, do you feel left out that you are not racing?
TA: No
SS: Thats good then, you worked at HCD before you and colin took it over didnt you?
TA: Yes i did, i started around 1994 selling parts and mailing them out to people, i still do that now, as well as car orders and all the invoices
SS: So what about the real you when youre not roaming the country with a trailer full of cars behind you?
TA: I love reading, i read at least 2 books a week, James Patterson, Dan Brown and John Grisham are my favourite authors, i also love my cats Swayzee, Murphy and Paddy.SS: How do you cook your ribs?
TA: I dont, i get them from the chinese
SS: What your favourite colour?
TA: Black, im a bit of a goff actually, i used to be one at school, nobody would dare look at me
SS: I can believe that, ive seen you angry!, Favourite TV shows?
TA: Shameless, Prison Break
SS: Any other likes?
TA: Im Roy Keanne's number 1 fan
SS: So what about racing? whos the sexiest superstox driver other than Colin?
TA: definately Ryan Eaton
SS: Whats your favourite track to watch at?
TA: Eastbourne
SS: Whos your favourite drivers? (no family allowed Trudy)
TA: I really like Frankie Wainman Jnr, hes a bloody nice chap and was one of the first drivers i followed, i used to follow Conrad Self in the stockcars and Lee Caroline in the ministox, i also loved Barry Lee, i used to follow him around for his autograph.
Well there it is then , a bit more into the life of Trudy Aylward, it seems like she has been around superstox for years, thats why its so hard to believe she is only 21 years old!
